Small Cat Enclosure House Outdoor
Before investing in a small cat enclosure and cat house that you want outdoors. It is a good idea to learn a little about cats. They are very interesting animals and obviously the amount of space available here will only allow me to pass on some basic information. To start with cats typically weigh between 2.5 and 7 kg, with some breeds, such as the Maine Coon exceeding 11.3 kg (25 pounds). There are some cats that have been known to reach up to 23 kg (50 lb), due to excessive overfeeding. This is of course very unhealthy for the cat, and should be prevented through exercise and diet. Cats that live exclusively indoors need special attention in this regard. In captivity, cats normally live from 15 to 20 years, and the oldest-known cat lived to 36. One important point is that domestic cats tend to live longer if they are not permitted to go outdoors as this reduces the risk of injury from fights and accidents. Also cats that are spayed or neutered tend to live longer than there sexual “normal” counterparts. Spaying and neutering a cat also decreases the risk of testicular and ovarian cancer, and female cats spayed before their first heat or litter benefit from reduced risk of mammary cancer. There is a popular belief that cats always land on their feet. Though they usually do, not always. During a fall, a cat can reflexively twist its body and right itself. It always rights itself in the same way, provided it has the time to do so during a fall. Cats, like dogs, are digitigrades: they walk directly on their toes. Because of this they are capable of walking very precisely, placing each hind paw directly in the print of the corresponding forepaw, allowing them to minimize noise and visible tracks when hunting.
