Outdoor Cat House Designs
There are some great Web pages where you can find fantastic outdoor cat house designs. Two of my personal favorites are the two cat duplex and the town house. Both made out of Cedar wood they not only look like great designs but they look great too. If you had two cats, one of these houses would be certainly ideal for you. The duplex can even be heated or cooled with an AC/Heater unit and both of the cathouse designs come with insulation if you order it. If you choose to put your outdoor cat houses  indoors they will also look good and this could be an important factor for people who need to be able to bring their cat houses indoors during the extreme winter months. The winter months have always been an enigma for me. I have heating in my cat house but often wonder if my cat is cold in spite of this. Since cats are so closely related to desert animals, they can easily withstand the heat and cold of a temperate climate, though even this they can not support unprotected for long periods of time. When it comes to extreme climates they have little resistance against fog, rainand snow. Of course extreme cold is dangerous for any animal as it can become frostbitten if left exposed to the elements. It is true however that certain breeds such as the Norwegian Forest Cat and Maine Coon have developed more protection than other cats but even they have trouble maintaining their 39 °C body temperature when they have gotten wet. I usually bring my cat inside the house once the snow starts falling. But then why do I have a heater and insulation in its house?
