Cat’s Digestive Illnesses - Diarrhea

Diarrhea
Healthy cats depose excrement which form is not necessarily compressed. Therefore, if they present a mellow or fluid aspect, we can think its diarrhea. Around the thin intestine, the nourishing skittle has always the aspect of a pap. Liquid component is not extracted until it reaches the thick intestine. If the step to this one accelerates, normal excrement will not appear, but instead diarrhea. The body chooses this method to throw out quickly certain inadequate or unhealthy components of nourishment, including toxic matters. It is a practical procedure that shouldn’t have any impediments. Due to the most diverse causes, in certain intestinal inflammation, the intestine cannot fulfill its function.

Diarrhea is not a disease. It is a sign of a disorder in the digestive process, a symptom. Nevertheless, there is a very important question: sometimes we will be able to treat the diarrhea with good perspectives of success. However, we will have to take them to a veterinarian when:

  • It has a fever
  • Vomits at the same time
  • Has sunken eyes

A situation like that could be infectious feline enteritis, poisoning or a serious intestinal inflammation. In such cases, it is a question of hours.

Neurosis
In fact, your cat will not even appear to be sick. You will probably just think it has neglected its usual habits and leaves its depositions on the carpet. In these cases, you have to suspect it is neurosis. It is not rare in these sensitive animals.
